Coconut Avenue Launches Global Operations

Chicago, Illinois - November 5, 2008

Stephen Lesavich, PhD announces the launch of global operations of Coconut Avenue, Inc. (coconutavenue.com) a new publishing company with a unique approach to both the authors it promotes and the subject matter of its published works.  With a demand-first business model, Coconut Avenue's goal is to bring creative works dedicated to the growth of the soul, self-help and personal growth to the market more rapidly than conventional publishers who use the distribution-first publishing model.

According to Lesavich, "Nothing we do will be conventional.  We are an author-friendly company, providing generous royalties to our authors, and royalties that are typically higher than conventional publishers." Coconut Avenue's business model enables it to accept manuscripts, edit, put into a digital format, publish and print in a much shorter period of time than a traditional publishing model.  Using the on-demand printing technology, the books are printed and shipped rapidly (within 24-48 hours) of an order being placed.  Since books are only printed and shipped when an order is placed, no money is wasted on printing, storing and shipping hundreds of thousands of copies of a title, hoping it will eventually sell.

Coconut Avenue's resources are used instead to help train authors to promote and create demand for their own books and assist authors spreading their individual messages.  "This innovative approach to publishing enables Coconut Avenue to take risks with authors who write about subjects, such as metaphysics, intuition or the growth of the soul, that conventional publishers are either unable or unwilling to take a chance on," says Dr. Lesavich.
